2009 Presenter and Sponsor Opportunities Announced

We are accepting submissions for the following 2009 Presenter opportunities:

1.  September 21-23, The Chicago Convergence [43-60 presenters / panelists sought]

The new Chicago Convergence site (launch Jan 09) will be home to a library of innovations, hundreds of amazing talks (from all our 2008-2009 events), groundbreaking sponsors and a robust social media portal enabling members of our 'hub' to join forces in a timely new way.  The 2008 Chicago New Media Summit began a large library of video talks specifically focused on talent+idea+technology pioneers, whose knowledge will enable immediate and future solutions, guidance and strategies to thousands of people and organizations.

This year, in addition to the remarkable talks, we are colliding with the music industry, innovation labs, networking socials and more.  Stay Tuned.

Presenter Guidelines

These are uncommon presentations. The audience will have high expectations of the speakers; we will work with you in advance to assist you in any way.  Rules for speakers include a ban on "selling from the stage" (i.e. no plugging your company or organization, this will get done in many other ways) and a strict enforcement of the clock.

The opportunity here is to engage yourself and others in ideas, talent and technologies that set new trends and alter history.  You can talk about your companies new project, service, etc as it pertains to a game-changing revolution, but the talks are about our collective destiny as citizens or people.  Sales presentations are not what this is about.  This is about the possible.

Presentations last just 18 minutes. A carefully prepared presentation of this length can have astonishing impact. This format also allows us to fit in more than 36 speakers/performers over 2 days. Everyone hears every presentation; there are no breakout sessions (in this part of the Convergence). The theater will be an intimate group of 300-500 of your peers; pioneers and trend-setters across many industries with remarkable experiences and ideas to share.

You are included as an attendee, soaking up the inspiration, and connecting with other fascinating attendees, who range from tech revolutionaries to accomplished musicians. In fact, the main reason to come is to join an extraordinary conversation with an extraordinary group of people.  Admission for presenters if free.  There will be additional networking and presenter lab opportunities discussed as they are made available.

The Convergence does not pay speakers to attend, but we're committed to creating an experience that's tremendously fulfilling and rich in opportunity.  These opportunities include a full page devoted to each speaker, publication of your video talk and presentation deck in The Chicago Convergence platform (plus YouTube, Veoh, Sideshare, etc), with distribution of your talk to thousands of Convergence members, executives, sponsors and other presenters...plus opportunities for regional, national and international press.  In addition, we do not pay any travel or lodging fees at this time.

Presentations are distributed online.  An key benefit of speaking at The Chicago Convergence events is that your presentation could become one of our beautifully produced, broadcast-quality HD video podcasts (samples). Offered free to the public, The Chicago Convergence talks are expected to garner extraordinary attention and influence on thousands who will view them globally.

Extraordinary SponsorsCramer-Krasselt, Microsoft, Google, Pixel Brothers, Manifest Digital, Ruder Finn and The Chicago Tribune are current premiere sponsors for the summit.

We will expect from our presenters:

a) A Signed Presenter Contract  - this includes details about audio visual support.
